    Description

A thank you gift from the Officers and crew of the Frigate Sabine to Captain Cadwalader Ringgold presented to him as a retirement gift in 1864. Captain Cadwalader Ringgold was the grandson of Revolutionary War General John Cadwalader. He was third in command of the United States Exploring Expedition before retiring (he came out of retirement to serve in the Civil War). Ringgold fought Caribbean pirates, explored Antarctica and Pacific Islands and ran with the likes of other famous naval officers such as Commodore Mathew Perry. A very interesting fellow.
Print measures approx. 9x6.5 inches and full frame 12.5 x 10.5 inches.
Message me if you have any questions. All of my items are genuine and authentic. I sell mainly new with tag items but my used items are always good condition AT MINIMUM. Thank you for taking the time to view my items, I hope you enjoy!
I believe items should be built with pride and made to last. I like things that build character as they endure, and like a top grain leather or raw denim; they will look even better with age. Whether replacing a shirt button, patching a hole on a pair of jeans, or resoling leather shoes - my goal is to send you an item worth repairing rather than replacing.

    Extra info:
I think customer service is very important. I don't like talking to the 1-800 robots when I call a customer service number and I'm glad you don't have to when you need some info from my store. I will always try to get back to you within a short time period. I try to do the little stuff to improve the customer experience. I take extra care when packaging. I always put the size where it's easily visible in the title listing instead of at the very end, which forces you to click on the listing and give "more views" to the listing. No, I want you to be able to scroll easily and enjoyably through the store page. I always try to provide accurate measurements. I take pictures outside in natural daylight because I think it provides the best color and detail. I won't ever try to deceive a customer with the item condition, but if I missed something please don't hesitate to contact me.
