VINTAGE 1950s AMERICAN OPTICAL SARATOGA POLAROID CALOBAR CP70 JFK SUNGLASSES

Up for sale is a vintage pair of 1950s American Optical Polaroid Sunglasses. These sunglasses look very similar to the American Optical Saratoga, but it is the cheaper version from American Optical Polaroid. These sunglasses originally would’ve had Calobar Green Glass lenses, but now have brown NonRX plastic lenses; no scratches or scuffs on either lens. The frames have scratches and scuffs on the front and temples. I’ve been selling vintage eyewear for nearly 15yrs and never seen this model. I personally think this was a marriage of a Polaroid frame and a Saratoga, but not quite sure. The frames are size 50-19mm, with 155mm temples.
